Finally working on a 1366×768 old notebook….

This is one of my old notebooks, an Asus 52F, still working. It’s been a long time since I scratched away Windows from this old chap and now Linux Mint 20 is running there. The resolution of the internal display is pretty poor, 1366 x 768 pixels and many times I wondered if I was able to get U1 to work at this resolution. U1 is deliberately “dense” with information on its main window, and the task was not easy. But seems that in the end I succeeded, as long as I use the retractable system panel of course. I still don’t know how windows will take this, but the next version of U1 will start with a window of 1366 x 746 pixels, guess I can’t do better 🙂

  1. Hi
At home I have a Desktop PC with a 22′ screen and a HP laptop with a 15.6′ screen both 1920 x 1080. I have also a HP notebook with a 14′ screen and only 1366 x 768. To be able to use Uruk_One on my old notebook would be greatly appreciated. Besides, I have many colleagues still using 1366 x 768 laptops. I understand Uruk_One is optimized for 1920 x 1080 screen resolution but anyway I am sure you found the best solution.
    Thank you for this update.
    Best regards.
