Yesterday I took some image at dawn from my site just to check the reliability of the horizon profile generated by http://www.heywhatsthat.com and of Uruk_One itself, of course. The result, taking into account the unpredictability of the refraction data, looks pretty good to me.
EDIT: I suspected that a calibration of the horizon profiles with respect to the theoretical horizon (where zenital distance is exactly 90°) should be needed. This time I’m very satisfied of matching with “real life” and just for further check I compared the result with Stellarium.

Beh, non posso lamentarmi in effetti. Nel frattempo ho modificato i 3 orizzonti in modo che disegnino sopra l’oggetto e non sotto, come appare adesso. Quello reale (azzurro), quello matematico (verde) e quello depresso (rosso).
