Strange behaviour under Windows 10

Looks like some controls are not correctly drawn in Windows 10 with some graphic cards. I’m collecting data from people using Windows 10 and until now the issue seems to be correlated to the presence of a nVidia graphic card. Not sure though because I don’t have many PCs checked so far. Intel graphic cards look ok.

I’m on it to see if there’s a possible solution to be applied. Users feedback about the presence of this problem would be appreciated.

BINGO!

I’ve found the reason why those controls are not correctly drawn. In the Screen configuration menu Windows is set for showing everything bigger. The image below is referred to the Italian version but hopefully should show where we are.

UPDATE:

After publishing 0.9.9.374R version seems the only control that’s not correctly dimensioned is the small Sun Window. Think I can tell this window to follow the outside panel’s dimension, this should solve the problem. Other controls look ok.

I’ve just “anchored” the Sun Window to its panel and the result looks fine. Maybe the problem has solved.

  1. Hi
As far as I am concerned, I have 3 computers with Windows 10 latest version.
One with an old Nvidia GeForce 405, an other with Intel HD520 and the last one with Intel UHD.
I have never encountered this kind of problem. Is this issue related to screen resolution :
    HD full HD ?
    Regards.

  2. Hi
In my opinion, there may be a problem with the drivers for your graphics card. In my case Uruk_One is displaying correctly. I’m using Windows 10 in its latest version and my graphics card is from nVidia Ge Force GTX 1050 Ti with the latest drivers. I would also like to thank the author of this software very much for the excellent work and I am looking forward to the next versions. Otherwise, English is not my native language, so excuse me.

    1. Hi Kamil,
thanks for your feedback. Actually I haven’t been using Windows for years so the Win version of Uruk_One is compiled Into a Vmware Virtual Machine where everything appears correctly. Ok, if the problem is not nVidia related then the mystery deepens. 🙂

      1. Hi
Under “Change settings for text, apps and other items” (125%) there is an option “Refine scale settings”. Click on it there to turn off “Let Windows try to fix blurry apps”. Then Uruk will display correctly even at 125% scale.
        Regards
        Kamil
