(1) Corrected the Timezone of Kuala Lumpur to GMT+8 into the default location file, thanks to Shahrin Ahmad for the tip. Of course if you’re already using the local version of the archive into the USR_PATH (that is, it’s not the first install) this variation won’t be visible and any change must be done manually.
(2) MacOS version. Thanks to a Richard Bright‘s report I could find out that in Dark Mode the Option Window was not correctly displayed. Fixed that.
(3) Implemented the algorithm that returns the belonging constellation given equatorial coordinates. Applied to the crosshair, pointer position and to all the catalogued stars. As an Italian I’m pretty familiar with Latin language names adopted by IAU, but just in case I reported the English translation of constellation names into the pointer coordinates. Sometimes names are referred to a mythological character’s name, so no translation is applied.
(4) Now an USER OBJECT can have its label and keeps to be plotted (tracked or not) until it’s manually disabled by means of the User Object Window. As an example we can identify James Webb Space Telescope’s position. Horizons Platform can provide us the accurate coordinates we need, in order to insert them into UrukFSP as user object.
(5) All Sky Map (ASM) can be drown with a blue or white background, being the second one more suitable for printing.
(6) After careful analysis of this article I made some change to Checkpoints (CP) from 034 to 038.
(7) – EARTH Stereographic Map. Added Mouse Pointer distance from map center. Computed in Miles and Km.
(8) – Star catalogue new version, URUKSTR221F, containing some corrections.
(9) – DSO catalogue new version, URUKDSO1B, containing a big clean up mainly for NGC and IC objects.
(10) – Enabled the bottom left panel, containing info on EQT and HOR view. Not visible at lower display resolution.
(11) – A few cosmetic changes to the Main Window. Some minor bug corrected.
I’m just testing new version, most likely it will be out on next weekend.
