Occultation of Venus by the Moon, CE554 Oct 9

This is a test of the incoming version of Uruk_One, and I chose as a reference this article published by the Journal of the History of Astronomy – May 2019, publicly available on the Internet, “OCCULTATION OF PLANETS BY THE MOON IN EUROPEAN NARRATIVE MEDIEVAL SOURCES“. The Authors are MARÍA JOSÉ MARTÍNEZ USÓ and FRANCISCO J. MARCO CASTILLO.

At page 6 they mentioned an occultation of Venus by the Moon occurred on 554 CE Oct 9, witnessed by Gregory of Tours in Metz (49° 07′ N , 6° 10′ E) . Using the VSOP87 theory they found:

First contact C1 at 5:15 UT

Last Contact C4 at 6:30 UT

Sunrise at 5:50 UT

Let’s see what Uruk_One can do with the ephemeris DE431 (n = −25.8″/𝑐𝑦2) and DeltaT value computed by NASA algorithms.

C1 at 5:14.0 UT

C4 at 6:29.6 UT

Sunrise at 5:49.2 UT

DeltaT = 5148s (NASA)

I think I can be satisfied with the test results.
