Hi
A very sad news indeed. In Paris, there was an international scientific bookstore, the only one in France, which sold all of Willmman-Bell’s books and software. It was very convenient because you could consult the books on site without having to order them. I bought all of Meeus’s books as well as the Planetary and Lunar Tables by Simon, Bretagnon and Chapront and many others. It was the time when we used to program in QuickBasic language on computers with 3.5 inch floppy disks, an 8086 Intel processor and 256 MB of RAM. Uruk_One Setup would have been distributed on a hundred floppy disks … and I wonder how long it would have taken to compute and display the results …
Regards
I also own a book from that publisher, namely Dan Boulet: “Methods of Orbit Determination for the Microcomputers. But I had to have it sent to me, because in the Czech Republic at that time there was no other way. What a pity.
Regards.
