*** Version 1.4.1 CHANGELOG

(1) BUG : Better correction of Horizon Profiles with suffix .PKF extracted from PeakFinder Website.
(2) Main Menu Items are now numbered. (Image_01)
(3) Tools [06] – Standstills tool now allows any year to be inserted.
(4) Deltat Graphs (Info [02]) – Added tidal only curve (Morrison et al.)
(5) Tools [13] and [14] can use now a circle of analysis from 1° to 4°.
(6) Better representation of star circles in EQT and HOR Views. (Image_02)
(7) Added into Input Date window current day of the year and day of the week. (Image_03)
(8) If Geocentric Computing is active, sky is always black in the HOR View.
(9) Enhancements on Tool [15]: constraints on rising/setting azimuth (Image_04).
(10) Tool [17]. Sun height instead of planet height is shown now.
(11) Main Form: Distance Panel. Now Contact functions work when their value is = 0. (Image_05)
(12) Main Form: Distance Panel. First 4 panels are now clickable for switching from
sexagesimal to decimal degrees.
(13) Added to Date Panel (EQT and HOR Views, bottom left) DeltaT Value (Image_06).
(14) Official documentation about DE441 did not report the ndot (moon tidal acceleration) value adopted. I thought so it was the same of DE431, but I was wrong.
I have to thank Paul Griffin that put me on the right track. I wrote to JPL and they told me the right value of ndot in the DE441 is equal to -25.936″/cy². After that I could calibrate again all DeltaT models into UrukFSP to this value.
(15) Old DeltaT RC model has been renamed to ‘UK20A’.
(16) Two new DeltaT models added, still under test. Their names are ‘UK24A2’, a 2nd order model and ‘UK24A3’, a 3rd order model. Both work from 1500 BCE to 4000 BCE. All models are now shown on Image_07.
(17) Added into Main Window a panel allowing a quick switch between DeltaT Models (Image_08).
(18) Removed a “pixel rounding” problem with the star during animations. Now stars are perfectly stable.
(19) Stereographic Earth Map now can show all nations colored with gray. Optimal if you have a monochrome laser printer.
(20) New DeltaT charts, BCE and CE, will all the DeltaT shown as curves.
(21) A new tool will be present (the tools are now numbered, to identify them quickly, if an intensive use is made) called 10a, which alongside the already existing 10b. The purpose of both is to identify the dynamics of appearance of the main stars over time. Over the centuries and even the millennia, stars that were previously visible then disappeared from the local sky, due to the precession, and vice versa. The pre -existing tool (10b) indicates this dynamic for a precise year, being able to move 100 thousand years from today, forward or backward. The new tool (10a) develops an analysis already distributed over time, from the 10000 BCE to 2100 CE, in such a way as to create the behavior of a star at this time range at first glance. It can therefore be immediately realized if there was the possibility of interest in a particular star before carrying out a detail analysis. See Image_09.

  1. Hi Alberto,
Nice options on Delta T graphs for the new versions so users can toggle between
    NASA’s and experimental others, i.e. 2nd and 3rd order formulae. Uk24A2 or Uk24A3 or Uk20A
